History

Growing up Eriko aspired to get in front of the camera. Indeed this can be seen in many home movies where she would constantly mug for that camera.


This is perhaps what lead to her getting involved in a business which mainly involved said camera. After being discovered in a Shibuya night club, Eriko's face and body have been seen in all sorts of magazines, mostly those who catered to male tastes of course. Although the life span of such a career is incredibly short, she has been photographed around the entire country of Japan, and various parts of others.

OJ-FWA

Eriko was hired as part of OJ-FWA's "New Talent Initiative" of 2007, which also produced WakuWaku Watanabe and Shiroko. The purpose of the initiative was to show the superiority of Reiko Hikawa's training facility by training those who have never wrestled into compitent performers. The only thing combat-related in Eriko's resume was a stint as a "sexy fighting boxer" at a local men's club. Hikawa took a skill that was never meant to be taken seriously, and trained Eriko to be a formidable striker.

Yuuki Matsuri 2007 and Moemi Amano

Eriko debuted at Yuuki Matsuri 2007 at the Budokan against Moemi Amano. Although the vastly more experienced veteran Amano was able to handily defeat the just trained Eriko, they quickly struck up a friendship and professional alliance that has lasted to this day, with Amano effectively managing her career.

History

Born in the poor village of Suzhou in Anhui Province, there was little to predict Amy's future in pro-wrestling. Throughout elementary school and junior high, she became an active member of the local Kung-Fu dojo. Through his own hard work, her father was able to pay for her college education in Beijing.

As a Stuntwoman

After college, she happened upon an advertisement in a national newspaper advertising a position as a consultant for upcoming martial arts film projects in Hong Kong. Considering the time she spent studying Kung-Fu, she considered it an excellent use of her talents. She eventually worked her way to actively working on the films physically as a stuntwoman, being featured in such films as "Wheeled Meals" and "Shanghai Sheena."

As a Pro-Wrestler

During the shooting of one of these films, she caught the eye of kung-fu/pro-wrestling star HYL. He took her under his wing and trained her in wrestling and how to incorporate her Kung-Fu skills into her style, just as he had done in the past. After about 2 months, she had a short stint in the then New Olive Japan playing fighting game characters in special attraction matches. After a near career-ending neck injury, she decided to tone her style down, and then briefly retire from the business.

Olive Japan: FWA

Another three years later, she recieved a call from former employer John "©" McKay and was informed of the merger. She also was invited to return to the company as herself. After some time, she agreed and made her return at OJ-FWA's first show, OJ-FWA - FIRST - where she battled newcomer Liliana, and picked up the win. However, the match was notorious for leaving a bad taste in the mouth of OJ-FWA co-founder, and idol to Amy, Reiko Hikawa.

Saturday Night Fights Situation

She was scheduled immediately to face Liliana again at the Hammerstein Ballroom event, Saturday Night Fights. It was the first match on the card. Both women trained extensively in preparation for their match.


However, an attempt at a suicida-style Shooting Star Press off the top rope to the floor of the arena ended badly when Liliana rolled and Chen's face bounced off the ground. She was able to continue the match for a while. But she began to lose track of where she was. Liliana mercifully ended the match.


She was immediately taken to the hospital. Tests done on her showed severe whiplash and a minor concussion. She missed Yuuki Matsuri and was out for quite a while until she returned at Saturday Night Fights 2.

Yubari's BLOG Entries!

History

Yukari Oogushi was born in a small coal mining town in north eastern Hokkaido. Her ringname came from the name of this town: Yubari. She is an only child.


She was growing up just as the coal mines (the main source of revenue for the town) were closing. Her father managed to save up enough money to send her to college. Her father tragically passed away when she was 13, as a result of working in the mines.


In high school, she often ditched class to ride a skateboard.  While in college in the US, she played basketball and was a lead member of her schools hip-hop dance club. It was during college that she became transfixed with the sport or professional wrestling. She idolized Mariko Yoshida for her technical abilty, Reiko Hikawa for her guts and submissions, and Kazu for his mysterious charisma.

FWA and OJ-FWA

Yubari joined with FWA in 2004, with an unsuccessful debut against So Ryung Park. Despite this, trainer Reiko Hikawa really took to Yubari. According to Hikawa, "She shows such fire and ability. In training, she was always the hardest worker, always willing to do more than the others. Yubari: even in loss, comes out as a winner."

Hikawa teamed her with a young Mary Riegan (then working under special contract with NOJ), and together they formed the East-West Connection, a team that saw plenty of success in the middle of the card.

She would stay with the company as it transitioned into the OJ-FWA entity.  Her first match with the nascent brand was her SNF match against Sasori.  a follow up match at Yuuki Matsuri  2007 against LAWL's Kata Mary solidified her status as a true competitor.


Joshi Tag Title

Although it was at Yuuki Matsuri 2007 where Yubari and Mary first raised the idea of rejoining as a tag team, it wasn't until February of 2010 when the duo defeated the tag team champions and themselves became the new OJ-FWA Joshi Sekai Tag Champs.


The Losing Streak

After this sucess, it was not long until winds of karma blew in the opposite direction.  At an interpromotional show, Yubari lost to TWF's Kitty Komet in a match to determine the number one contender to So Ryung Park's FWA-NA Championship.  Then, at SNF 2, she lost again, this time to the wily free agent Addison Grey.  The streak would continue until her first FIGHT TV match with Xi Xing.

Following her win over Xing, Yubari set her hopes on facing her best friend and Joshi Sekai champion Mary Riegan.  She was entered into a four-way match to determine the number-one contender for Mary's title, with the match to take place at Yuuki Matsuri 2011.  Moemi Amano would go on to win that match, rolling up Liliana for a surprise pin, while Yubari was taking care of veteran "The Cat" Misato Kubodera.

Conclusion

Yubari is a one of a kind talent, both in and out of the ring.  Her charisma is nearly unmatched in the world of joshi pro-wrestling, and her technical prowess helps to back up the charisma with the ability to win big matches.

History

Little is known about Park's true origins, as she remains tight-lipped about her past. There has been much speculation, however. Park has repeatedly denied these rumors, saying that she was born and raised in South Korea, her skin color is the result of a permanent tan treatment (whatever it is, it is most definitely NOT makeup), and her size is simply a genetic anomaly.

Indy Scene

By claiming that she was trained by a local indy wrestler, she was able to get her foot in the door of the business. Originally booked as a heel manager, she quickly gained in popularity. This gain was so great that she was eventually booked as in-ring talent, and got a positive reaction from most audiences.

NOJ

Eventually, Park sought proper training, and did so through NOJ. Her first appearance was a surprise second in John McKay's corner as he faced the Spoiler in the 2003 Champion's Soul tournament.

FWA and OJ-FWA

She was eventually recruited to the Reiko Hikawa's Female Wrestling Association (FWA) before it merged with New Olive Japan Pro-Wrestling to become Olive Japan: FWA. For a while, she got a decidedly heel reaction in Japan, while still maintaining a face reaction whenever the group has shows in the States. However, this recently has turned into an all around positive crowd reaction as fans all over the world have come to respect the "Green Giant" of OJ-FWA.

History

To neighbors and family friends, Moemi Amano's childhood seemed to promise great things. Musically inclined from an early age, she started learning basic music at age 5, and began piano lessons at age 6. By age 9, she was already proficient with a guitar.


However, her life was not all fun and music. Her mother pushed her to succeed to an extreme degree, often having her attend academic "cram schools" in addtion to her music lessons. Her father was always away and, when he was home, drank heavily. This lead to many tense situations, and she left home and school at the age of 16 and relocated to Harajuku.


It was there that she entered the underground music scene, including playing with a number of cover bands. This is also where she picked up her distinctive look. It was also here where she encountered fellow musicians Mika and Mina, collectively known in then FWA as the Wild Crush. Not having been a wrestling fan at the time, she initially refused their suggestions to train with them. Eventually, she relented, and joined their training compound.

Early Wrestling Career

While training at FWA's compound, she decided to get an early start and had her first match at Glitter Pro (an organization with an emphasis on looks). This match was against Airi Sukegawa on their October 10th, 2004 show. This was not a successful debut, and it ended up with a tapout loss to Sukegawa not even five minutes into the match. This quick loss lit a fire in Amano that would last for the rest of her career.

FWA

Amano's entry into FWA proper was not a smooth one. In fact, some of her earliest "initiations" include a series of matches against Misato "The Cat" Kubodera: an electrified barbed-wire match on April 29th, 2005, and another match, this one an electrified exploding cage match on May 6th, 2005. A later attempt at vengeance, an electrified barbed-wire rematch, took place on March 10th, 2006.


Although her career had other highlights, including a match against Sasori at Yuuki Matsuri 2005 event, Amano was reportedly "burnt out" and decided to take a leave of absence in April of 2006.

Return and OJ-FWA

Moemi Amano made her return to wrestling at Yuuki Matsuri 2007. Here, she beat Eriko Hasegawa (then known simply as "Eriko"). After the match, the two had a conversation that would form the basis of the BAD GIRLS stable. This relationship would become apparent in at least one notable match, one broadcast on the World Tour series against Iku.

Brad Harris, and THE Title Shot

After Brad Harris's match against Tiger Miyazawa on World Tour, Moemi Amano took interest in the up and coming performer. The two began a professional relationship that included the managerial services of Amano, and rumors began of the makings of a personal relationship as well.


Some time after, on Go! Go ! OJ-FWA Fight TV, Moemi Amano took part in a four-way steel cage match to determine the Number One Contender to the Joshi Sekai Championship against Liliana, Misato Kubodera, and Yubari. Through much of this match, Amano concentrated her fury at Kubodera, until she won the match and the number one contendership title shot at Yuuki Matsuri 2011.


Yuuki Matsuri 2011 and Beyond

At Yuuki Matsuri, Moemi Amano got her first shot at the Joshi Sekai Championship against Mary Riegan.  The highly competitive match was corrupted when Moemi brought in a chair and attempted to use it.  Seeing this, and upset at the overall state of her company, Co-Founder Reiko Hikawa  interfered and inadvertently affected the finish.  Moemi lost her as of this time, one and only title shot.

Things weren't all bad for Moemi, as Brad Harris defeated Tiger Miyazawa that very same night.

After the event, Moemi and her group, which now consists of herself, Eriko, and Amazonas, let loose on various OJ-FWA performers, the first of which being Xi Xing, and eventually led to them doing the same to Michiko "WakuWaku" Watanabe.

Conclusion

Moemi Amano had a difficult upbringing, and an even more difficult time in the pro-wrestling business.  Many would consider her tactics suspect, and her allegiances suspect.  However, no one can deny the success of her stable, and her outside enterprises.  Moemi Amano is either the best business decision you've ever made, or the worst enemy you can think of.

Liliana's BLOG Entries!

History

Liliana had an early start as a troubled youth. While attending Bayshore High School in Long Island she got into regular fights, and even had a pregnancy scare (though that was determined to be false alarm). As such she latched onto pro-wrestling at a young age. She became a huge ECW fan and tried to make it to as many Hammerstein Ballroom shows as possible.

Later, she would accompany her then boyfriend "Hardcore" Mark Dyson to his matches in SRW, in particular the grueling encounter between him and Trent Frost. She would later say that it was this match that really light the spark that would cause her to later get into the business.

As a Model

A modeling career soon came calling and she appeared and such men's and auto magazines as "The List," "Riding Monthly," and "Score." However, the wrestling bug came back to bite again, and she sought training from then FWA owner Reiko Hikawa (Hikawa was assisting with training seminars in New York about once a year at the time).

As a Pro-Wrestler

Liliana got her start with SRW, and worked as a valet for a few performers. it was here she gained the nickname of "The Hardcore Italirican," due to the ferocity she showed in defending her clients.


It was during this time when she got a big money offer to join "sexy fighting" promotion Glitter Pro that brought her to Japan for the first time.


It was there that she was first noticed by John Mckay. After discussing the matter with Hikawa (with whom he had just merged his NOJ with her FWA to become OJ-FWA), Liliana was invited to participate at FIRST. According to Liliana, "getting to not only wrestle, but debut at the Tokyo Dome was an opportunity I just couldn't pass up!"

Olive Japan: FWA

She wrestled her first match against Amy Chen at FIRST. Although Liliana was happy with the match, Hikawa was none too thrilled. According to Liliana, "she just went off on us! She said that shit that sloppy had no place in front of a crowd such as the Tokyo Dome. Later I saw what she meant when I watched the footage, but still. So here I was fuming and nearly in tears and I couldn't do a damn thing to her. I came THIS close to quitting."


This was prevented, however, by an offer for a rematch with Chen at Saturday Night Fights at the Hammerstein Ballroom. The same place she used to frequently visit as a spectator, she was now going to be the performer. Again, she could not refuse this offer, and stayed with the company.

Saturday Night Fights: The Chen Incident

She was scheduled face Chen as the first match on the card. Both women trained extensively in preparation for their match.

Chen was able to continue the match for a while. But she began to lose track of where she was. Liliana mercifully ended the match.


Chen was immediately taken to the hospital. Tests done on her showed severe whiplash and a minor concussion.  She would be out of action for a some time, while Liliana would drop out of the public eye for a while. 

What hadn't been known at that time was that Liliana had contacted Amy regularly during her time in the hospital, and the two had developed a rather close friendship.



The Reemergence of the Hardcore Italirican

Liliana reappeared at SNF 2 taking on Michiko "WakuWaku" Watanabe.  And although Liliana won the match, Watanabe showed enough fire and toughness to impress Liliana, and the Hardcore Italirican took the former gravure model under her wing.

Later, Liliana would team up with Amy Chen for an episode of the OJ-FWA World Tour, taking on Moemi Amano and Eriko Hasegawa.  The two would come out victorious, as they unleashed a perfectly timed combination: Amy Chen leaped off the turnbuckle to finish Eriko with a shooting-star press, while Liliana went right for Moemi, taking her out.

By the end of 2011, Liliana would finally have a shot at number one contendership for the Joshi Sekai Championship in a four-way steel cage match on FIGHT TV.  Her dreams would be short lived, as she was rolled up by Liliana for a surprise three-count.


Double-Trouble: Ami Naito and Moemi Amano

On an edition of Go! Go! OJ-FWA FIGHT TV, WakuWaku Watanabe took on Ami Naito, the woman who took IKU out of commission.  Ami would win the match, but would not stop beating on her fallen opponent.  Liliana came out to her resecue.

Later that very same episode, Liliana would take on Eriko Hasegawa.  Although manager Moemi Amano would be thrown out of the ringside area, Eriko would take the victory with a surprise knockout blow.  After the match, Moemi came back with Amazonas and laid a huge beatdown to Liliana.

Not too soon later, Liliana would be distressed by the news that Watanabe agreed to take on Amazonas by herself.  Watanabe assured Liliana she needed to do this herself.  Liliana reluctantly accepted it.

Watanabe would go on to fall to the mighty hands of Amazonas.  However this was not enough for Amazonas, as she would proceed to mercilessly beat Watanabe to the ground.  Moemi came to join the festivities, but this was all Liliana could stand, as she ran out and attended to her friend.

Later, she confronted another of Amano's clients, Brad Harris to get some answers, but he had none.


Conclusion

Liliana is gorgeous but tough; beautiful, yet deadly.  However, her dedication to her friends and her fierce loyalty make her an indispensible ally.
